Who You Are
The Inside CNC Sales Specialist is responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and supporting CNC sales activities to maximize revenue growth and customer satisfaction. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, the field sales team, engineering, and internal departments, ensuring timely quotations, product recommendations, and sales support. The specialist develops strong customer relationships, identifies sales opportunities, provides technical product information, and helps drive CNC business growth through proactive account management and exceptional customer service.
What You'll Do

Partner closely with the Sales Team, key accounts, and customers to build strong long-term relationships, provide day-to-day support, respond to customer requests, resolve issues, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and drive business growth

Support the sales process by creating quotes, obtaining special pricing approvals, submitting proposals, generating qualified leads through data mining and outreach efforts, and promoting innovative applications of CNC products across traditional and emerging industries

Manage key account activities, including forecasting, inventory stocking plans, open order reporting, order management, escalation handling, exception resolution (RMA, concessions, short shipments, quality concerns, and special shipping requests), while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure customer satisfaction and timely issue resolution

Develop, modify, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), contracts, pricing structures, and Japanese Yen-related pricing adjustments to ensure accuracy, profitability, and compliance with company policies

Utilize and support business systems including Oracle, Navigator, CPQ, CRM, and related platforms by troubleshooting issues, coordinating with IT, implementing new processes and systems, conducting testing, creating user documentation, and delivering training to internal teams and customers

Represent the organization at trade shows, open houses, training events, and sales meetings by providing product demonstrations, educating customers and sales personnel on products and system upgrades, and supporting overall sales and marketing initiatives

Create and implement tools, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives that increase operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and provide seamless support to customers, key accounts, and internal stakeholders

Collaborate effectively within a team environment, supporting fellow team members and partnering with multiple departments to achieve business objectives, improve customer outcomes, and drive sales success
What You Need

High School Diploma, associate’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
-
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in sales, account management, or customer support of CNC and/or industrial factory automation products to OEM customers

General knowledge of CNC products

General knowledge of Oracle, CRM, and related business systems
-
Commercial mindset with the ability to influence customers and promote CNC product sales
-
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
-
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities, customers, and projects simultaneously while ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
-
Ability to understand and communicate customer needs and requirements internally to support successful sales outcomes

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
What Would Be Even Better

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
-
Three (3) or more years of direct sales and/or account management experience supporting OEM customers in CNC and/or factory automation products
-
Extensive knowledge of FANUC CNC products and FANUC systems
-
Advanced knowledge and experience utilizing Oracle, CRM, and related business systems
-
Demonstrated expertise in CNC industry applications, customer relationship management, and sales growth strategies

FANUC American is seeking a qualified applicant for an Inside CNC Sales Specialist role. The pay range for this position is $64,740 - $104,924 per year. The pay range listed is based on both salary and other compensation, including bonuses and profit sharing, that an employee may be paid during their employment with FANUC America. Benefits include medical insurance, 401k savings, paid vacation, vision insurance, dental insurance, tuition reimbursements, disability insurance, life insurance, and paid holidays. A compensation package offered to a successful applicant will ultimately be determined by consideration of a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, an applicant’s geographic location, educational attainment, and level of experience.
