Description

We are looking for a Litigation Attorney to join a construction-focused defense practice in Denver, Colorado. This role offers the opportunity to handle a varied docket involving construction defect disputes and general liability matters while working closely with experienced legal leadership. The ideal candidate is prepared to take ownership of case progress, provide thoughtful counsel to clients, and contribute to strong litigation outcomes from early strategy through resolution. Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day handling of litigation files involving construction defect defense and related liability claims.

• Conduct witness and party depositions, participate in mediations, and represent clients during hearings and other legal proceedings.

• Investigate case facts and analyze records, evidence, and applicable law to support defense strategy.

• Draft and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery materials, and client correspondence.

• Develop case plans, recommend legal strategy, and guide clients through key decisions at each stage of litigation.

• Maintain regular communication with clients and insurance representatives regarding status updates, exposure, and next steps.

• Appear in court for conferences, motion practice, and settlement discussions as matters progress.

• Prepare cases for trial and serve as trial counsel when resolution cannot be reached.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in Colorado and ability to work as an attorney in the applicable jurisdiction.

• At least 1 year of experience in civil litigation.

• Background handling construction defect matters, defense litigation, or general liability cases.

• Demonstrated skill in drafting motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents.

• Working knowledge of discovery processes, factual investigation, and case development.

• Ability to manage assigned matters with a high degree of organization and accountability.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with clients, insurers, and the court.
