Position Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide healthcare services within a correctional facility in Stormville, New York. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to provide quality patient care in a secure environment.

Essential Functions

• Assess, monitor, and document inmate/patient health conditions.

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions.

• Complete nursing assessments, screenings, and health histories.

• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and wellness initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with correctional healthcare standards, policies, and procedures.

• Observe and report changes in patient conditions to appropriate medical personnel.

• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards at all times.

Qualifications

For RN Candidates:

• Active and unrestricted New York Registered Nurse license.

• Current BLS certification.

• Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience preferred.

• Correctional, emergency, behavioral health, or medical-surgical experience preferred.
