Description

In this product counsel role, you’ll help Apple’s advertising platform business grow and succeed by handling all its legal needs, providing legal advice, and protecting Apple from undue legal risk.

This role is broad and dynamic. On any given day, you may be drafting or negotiating agreements, advising on new laws or regulations, providing legal risk counseling on new products or features, and beyond.

Although you don’t need to have expertise in every legal subject matter that you will encounter, a strong foundation in some of the relevant legal areas is important. An aptitude for on-your-feet learning and analysis is indispensable.

  • 8+ years of relevant legal experience.

  • Experience handling legal issues relating to one or more of the following industry areas: (1) digital platforms; (2) online commerce; (3) software services; (4) ad tech - for example, digital advertising publication or distribution.

  • Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas: (1) laws and regulations governing online content, distribution, or digital platforms; (2) commercial contracting relating to online services, digital platforms, or digital advertising; (3) intellectual property law (trademark / copyright); (4) advertising law.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including distilling and presenting complex legal ideas to business stakeholders.

  • Top-notch legal analysis skills and practical judgment.

  • JD (or equivalent) plus admission to at least one U.S. state bar.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant experience advising digital platform, ad tech, or online commerce businesses, either in-house or at a leading law firm.

  • Experience in drafting or negotiating platform distribution or ad tech agreements.

  • Experience with analyzing and applying U.S. and non-U.S. laws and regulations (e.g., federal and state UDAP, digital platform, and AI laws, EU DSA, EU DMA, EU AI Act, UK CMA guidance, etc.).

  • Prior legal experience in-house or with a large national or international law firm.

  • A get-it-done attitude where no task is too big or too small for you to take on.

  • Creativity, curiosity, and a team-first approach.
