Full job description

We are building a candidate pool of qualified Public Assistance (PA) professionals in and around the Tallahassee, Florida area to support potential disaster response and recovery operations for Hurricane Isaias. Positions may support damage assessments, project development, grant documentation, cost analysis, eligibility review, data management, and other Public Assistance activities. Specific positions, assignments, and start dates will vary based on project needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Public Assistance project development and grant-related activities.

  • Review and organize documentation related to disaster-related damages and costs.

  • Conduct site visits and damage assessments as assigned.

  • Assist with developing and reviewing Project Worksheets and supporting documentation.

  • Review labor, equipment, material, and contract documentation.

  • Assist with cost estimates, data analysis, and grant reimbursement documentation.

  • Coordinate with applicants, government agencies, contractors, and project staff.

  • Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and consistent with applicable program requirements.

  • Perform other duties consistent with the position and project requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience with FEMA Public Assistance, disaster recovery, emergency management, grant administration, construction, engineering, finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, preferred.

  • Ability to review and interpret detailed documentation.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules and travel within the assigned area as project needs require.
