Job Description

Insight Global's client is seeking a Community Center Supervisor to oversee recreation programs, resident services, facility operations, and community activities for a large residential community in Emeryville, CA. This individual will lead day-to-day Community Center operations, supervise a small team, manage events and facility reservations, support community engagement initiatives, and ensure a positive experience for residents. The ideal candidate is a highly organized operations leader who thrives in a customer-service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily Community Center and recreation operations
  • Supervise, schedule, and develop a team of 3-5 employees
  • Coordinate community events, programs, and activities
  • Manage facility reservations and community room rentals
  • Maintain operational records, resident communications, and department documentation
  • Monitor community amenities including fitness and recreation facilities
  • Assist with budget planning and expense tracking
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to address operational needs
  • Ensure compliance with community policies and procedures
  • Build positive relationships with residents and community stakeholders

Location: Emeryville, CA (Onsite) Compensation: Approximately $85,000 Base Salary depending on qualifications and experience

Schedule:

  • Full-time, onsite position in Emeryville, CA
  • Standard 40-hour work week
  • Flexible schedule based on Community Center operating hours and events
  • Supervises a department operating approximately 110 hours per week

Skills and Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of supervisory or operations leadership experience

  • Experience managing staff schedules, daily operations, and customer-facing services

  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills

  • Experience coordinating events, activities, programs, or facility operations

  • Experience working in a service-focused environment with changing priorities

  • Budget tracking and operational planning experience

  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, staff, and leadership teams Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • HOA, condominium, or community association experience

  • Parks & Recreation experience

  • Community center, clubhouse, or amenity management experience

  • Hospitality or event operations experience

  • Resident services experience

  • Property management experience
