Summary:
The Mechanical Engineeris responsible for leading a diverse, represented hourly workforce in day-to-day operational activities, maintenance of equipment and troubleshooting efforts, as well as, interacting with all levels of the organization on a wide range of business issues. This position reports to the Plant Manager.
TheReliability Mechanical Engineerplays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of equipment within a metal manufacturing plant. They focus on managing risk, minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and optimizing maintenance practices.
Responsibilities:

Maintenance Strategies:

Analyzes equipment performance, failure data, and corrective maintenance history to develop and deploy engineering solutions, improved maintenance strategies, preventative maintenance optimization, and other reliability techniques.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

Utilizes predictive, preventative, and precision maintenance technologies and strategies designed to identify or control risks prior to failure and ensure optimum maintenance execution.

Collaboration:

Provides technical service to operations and manufacturing personnel on equipment related troubleshooting efforts.

Maximize equipment reliability while considering economic factors.

Evaluate the impact of projects (reconfigurations, design changes) on meeting customer needs.
