Full job description

Description

Our client is a dynamic organization with a diverse portfolio of businesses spanning multiple sectors. The company operates in fast-moving markets and offers accounting professionals the opportunity to gain exposure to complex financial reporting and public-company processes.

They are seeking a Senior Accountant to support the corporate accounting and financial reporting functions. This role will play an important part in the monthly and quarterly close, general ledger management, SEC reporting, audit support, and preparation of financial statement disclosures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting activities for multiple legal entities, including journal entries, month-end and quarter-end close, and maintenance of accurate books and records.

  • Review general ledger activity and trial balances, identify discrepancies, and prepare account reconciliations and necessary adjustments.

  • Support the consolidation of subsidiary financial results and assist with management reporting and cash flow preparation.

  • Help develop and review financial statement footnotes, SEC filing support, and other required disclosures, ensuring appropriate documentation and compliance with internal controls.

  • Partner with internal and external auditors by organizing supporting documentation and assisting with quarterly reviews and annual audits.

  • Contribute to accounting research, technical memos, acquisitions/dispositions, and other special projects while providing backup support for key accounting functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.

  • Approximately 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting and public-company experience.

  • Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to manage deadlines independently.
