Summary

This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. This position serves as a senior analyst and Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the realization of the Department of War's (DoW) Joint Warfighting Concept and the delivery of required joint capabilities under the Joint Force Requirements Process (JFRP).

Duties

As a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST (CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT) at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Applying advanced analytic tools and automation - including artificial intelligence, large language models, and other automation capabilities - to organize, evaluate, and derive insights from large volumes of structured and unstructured information; Consolidating complex, ambiguous, and conflicting information into authoritative analyses, assessments, and recommendations for senior military and civilian leaders; Analyzing, recommendations, and evaluations are normally reviewed by management officials for potential influence on broad policy and program objectives and goals; Identifying critical joint issues, assess second- and third-order effects across the enterprise, integrate cross-domain solutions, and devise innovative approaches where established methods do not apply; Creating recommendations based off analysis of real time lessons coming from current combat operations (warfighters on the field), determining which Joint Warfighting Concept (JWC) identified capability requirements correlate with these lessons. Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 13 grade level in the Federal service: Applying advanced analytic tools and automation - including artificial intelligence, large language models, and other automation capabilities - to organize, evaluate, and derive insights from large volumes of structured and unstructured information; Consolidating complex, ambiguous, and conflicting information into authoritative analyses, assessments, and recommendations for senior military and civilian leaders; Analyzing, recommendations, and evaluations are normally reviewed by management officials for potential influence on broad policy and program objectives and goals; Identifying critical joint issues, assess second- and third-order effects across the enterprise, integrate cross-domain solutions, and devise innovative approaches where established methods do not apply; Creating recommendations based off analysis of real time lessons coming from current combat operations (warfighters on the field), determining which Joint Warfighting Concept (JWC) identified capability requirements correlate with these lessons. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level. How You Will Be Evaluated
