Popular is seeking a strategic and innovative leader to oversee the Digital Content function and guide the evolution of our Enterprise Content Management (ECM) ecosystem.
The Manager I will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy, governance, and roadmap for enterprise content platforms that support the management, retention, security, and accessibility of critical business information across the organization. This role will lead modernization initiatives, content governance programs, platform rationalization efforts, and cloud transformation projects while partnering closely with Technology, Information Security, Compliance, Legal, and business units.
The ideal candidate combines strong leadership capabilities with deep knowledge of enterprise content management technologies and governance practices. This individual will be comfortable navigating complex environments, building consensus across stakeholders, and delivering solutions that improve operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the overall employee and customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing Digital Content team.

Define and maintain the enterprise content management strategy and roadmap.

Drive platform modernization, migration, and consolidation initiatives.

Establish governance standards for metadata, taxonomy, document retention, access controls, and content lifecycle management.

Partner with Legal, Compliance, Information Security, and business leaders to ensure regulatory and governance requirements are met.

Oversee operational performance, platform stability, and service delivery.

Manage vendors, contracts, and technology partnerships.
-
Monitor key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead content migration and cloud-transformation programs.
-
Present strategic recommendations, risks, and progress updates to senior leadership and governance committees.

Support future capabilities related to search, automation, knowledge management, and artificial intelligence initiatives.

Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and resource planning activities.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience
-
Five (5) years or more of experience in Enterprise Content Management, Digital Content Management, Records Management, or related technologies.
-
Three (3) years or more of leadership experience managing technical teams or external technology partners.
-
Experience developing platform strategies, roadmaps, and governance frameworks.
-
Experience leading content migration, repository modernization, or digital transformation initiatives.
-
Experience managing vendor relationships, technology contracts, and budgets.
-
Experience working with ECM platforms such as OnBase, Documentum, Captiva, OpenText, SharePoint, or similar technologies.

Experience operating in regulated industries such as banking or financial services is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong leadership and team development skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Knowledge of records management, retention requirements, information governance, and content lifecycle management.

Familiarity with workflow automation, document imaging, content capture, and API integrations.

Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Proficiency in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
