Residential Counselor (PT)

Location: Elmont, NY | Schedule: Part-Time up to 16 hours Friday & Saturday 11pm-7am | Status: Non-Exempt | Salary: $20.47/hour

The Opportunity

FCA is seeking Part-Time Residential Counselors for our 24-hour supervised community residence for adults over age 18 who suffer from persistent mental illness. The residential program assists its residents with learning the skills necessary to move on to a more independent living environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide counseling and supervision, assisting with service plan development and daily activities.

  • Oversee recreational outings and transport residents to appointments and activities.

  • Manage medication procedures and coordinate care with outside agencies per HIPAA regulations.

  • Complete required paperwork on time and perform bed checks and wake-ups as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required

  • 6 months-1 year of experience required

  • Valid Driver's License required
