Job Description

The Construction Manager/Foreman will be responsible for the completion of construction and/or maintenance projects as assigned by the Superintendent in a timely and efficient manner using company or outsourced resources. They will oversee the craft and trades on projects up to $50 million in scope and will support the Superintendent with on site project execution

Will supervise a total of 1-8 crewmembers each.

  • Lead and oversee daily field operations for assigned construction activities, with a primary focus on self-performed electrical scopes
  • Direct in-house field crews, including electricians, equipment operators, conduit installers, laborers, and other craft personnel performing hands-on construction work
  • Coordinate daily work with the Superintendent, understanding the weekly and daily schedule and determining what crews, equipment, and materials are needed to complete planned activities
  • Monitor field production throughout the day to make sure crews are progressing according to schedule and immediately communicate delays, manpower issues, material shortages, or other obstacles to the Superintendent
  • Ensure work is being completed according to project drawings, specifications, and quality requirements, identifying installation issues
  • Enforce site safety requirements and safe work practices throughout daily field activities and address unsafe conditions or behaviors when identified
  • Participate in daily field meetings, safety meetings, and planning discussions with the Superintendent and other field leadership
  • Support inspections, testing, punch-list activities, and closeout work by ensuring crews correct deficiencies and complete outstanding field items
  • Maintain accountability for crew productivity and workmanship, ensuring assigned crews complete quality work safely and efficiently

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager or Foreman with a project scope of $20m or greater o Federal project experience is preferred; mission critical and large commercial experience can work. Residential experience will not qualify.

  • Experience leading and overseeing a crew

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office products

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Construction Management

  • Federal construction project experience: CBP, USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, DHS
