  • Prepare and submit the Commonwealth's required Single Audit reporting package to the Federal Audit Clearinghouse.

  • Collaborate with external auditors, federal agencies, and state leadership throughout the annual Single Audit process.

  • Analyze federal regulations and recommend improvements to statewide reporting procedures and internal controls.

  • Develop reporting guidance, instructional materials, and best practices that strengthen statewide compliance.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of governmental accounting principles and federal grant requirements.

  • Experience with financial reporting, auditing, grants management, or federal compliance.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience presenting training or providing technical assistance.

  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and explain technical information to diverse audiences.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple statewide deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.

The Office of Statewide Accounting Services provides financial leadership for the Commonwealth and is responsible for preparing Kentucky's SEFA, the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), and coordinating the Statewide Single Audit of Kentucky, while promoting sound financial management practices across state government.
