Summary
You will serve as a STRATEGIC PLANS & POLICY PLANNER in the Nuclear Deterrence and Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Strategy, Plans, and Policy Division, Strategic Plans and Policy Directorate, of HEADQUARTERS US PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
- You will develop, refine, and maintain US PACOM Nuclear and CWMD strategy, plans, policy, requirements, and programs.
- You will provide guidance and tasking to Service Component Commands and supporting agencies during development of Nuclear and CWMD strategy, plans, policy, requirement, and programs.
- You will coordinate US PACOM Nuclear and CWMD Capability programs to enhance interoperability of Joint and Ally capabilities.
- You will attend all required meetings related to Nuclear and CWMD equities and host or participate in applicable conferences either physically and/or virtually.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Applying knowledge of U.S. nuclear and countering weapons of mass destruction (CWMD) strategy, plans, policy, requirements, and programs; 2. Integrating nuclear and CWMD capabilities into U.S. policy and joint plans, including OPLANs, CONPLANs, BPLANs, and COMESTs, while developing revisions for Combatant Commander (CCDR) and Secretary of War (SECWAR) approval; 3. Analyzing the U.S. PACOM theater and the Combatant Command's strategic and operational challenges; 4. Leading and participating in subject-matter-expert working groups to develop senior-level briefings for flag and general officers, Senior Executive Service officials, and allied and partner-nation strategic leaders; AND 5. Coordinating nuclear and CWMD capabilities and programs with other U.S. Government agencies to strengthening Joint and interagency interoperability with allied and partner capabilities.
