Field activities require walking moderate distances over uneven, sloped, and disturbed terrain; occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and digging; and the use of hand tools for sampling, staking, surveying, and other field activities. - Safely lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. ## Typical Working Conditions Work is performed in both office and outdoor mine-site environments. Outdoor work may occur in varied weather, terrain, dust, noise, and site conditions and often requires work in active mining and reclamation areas. The position may occasionally require work outside normal business hours to complete monitoring, sampling, inspections, or other time-sensitive activities. ## Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Engineering, Geology, Biology, or a related field; OR a minimum of four years of relevant environmental, mining, reclamation, surveying, land, or similar technical experience. - An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered. - Experience with environmental monitoring and sampling, reclamation, surveying, GIS/CAD, land records, or regulatory compliance is preferred. ## Licenses, Registration, and Certifications - Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate company vehicles as required by assigned duties. - Ability to obtain and maintain required Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) miner training and site-specific safety qualifications. - FAA Part 107 Remot Pilot Certificate, or ability to obtain certification in a reasonable period following hire date.
