Full job description

Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a growing engineering team supporting AI-enabled applications and document-processing solutions. This is a hands-on development role for someone who can truly work across the full stack, from backend APIs and services to modern front-end applications.

The ideal candidate will bring strong Python backend experience along with TypeScript/React front-end development skills. This person should be comfortable owning a feature from the backend service and data model through the UI and production deployment, rather than specializing in only one side of the application.

We are a company committed to creating inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment opportunities without regard to race, religion, sex, age, marital status, national origin, sexual orientation, citizenship status, disability, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to Human Resources Request Form. The EEOC "Know Your Rights" Poster is available here.

Skills and Requirements

  • 4+ years building and operating production web applications.
  • True full-stack ownership: meaningful hands-on development on both the backend and front end.
  • Python: experience with a modern async web framework and typed request/response models.
  • TypeScript + React: strong experience with hooks, server/client component boundaries, forms, and responsive data-heavy applications.
  • Cloud-Native Development: experience with containers, environment-driven configuration, queues/pub-sub or similar messaging, and intentionally designed data models/datastores.
  • Testing & CI/CD: writes tests as part of development and can independently troubleshoot and fix failing pipelines.
  • Technical Judgment & Communication: able to manage scope and clearly document technical decisions through design notes, decision records, merge requests, or similar documentation.
  • Experience with the specific cloud platform and GitLab CI.
  • LLM/OCR application experience, including structured outputs, prompt/schema versioning, evaluation, cost, and latency.
  • Embeddings, vector search, or hybrid retrieval experience.
  • Document-heavy application experience involving PDFs, OCR pipelines, or similar processing.
  • SOAP/XML enterprise integrations.
  • Higher education, Student Information Systems, transfer credit, or articulation experience.
  • Experience working with other regulated-data environments.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or the recruiting process, please send a request to [email protected].
