School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)
Riverside, CA Area
Up to $80/hour DOE
Up to 30 Hours Per Week
Full School Year Contract | K-12 Caseload
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide services within a K-12 school setting in the Riverside area. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with students, educators, and families to support student development, independence, and success in the educational environment.
The Occupational Therapist will conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, provide direct therapy services, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements.
Essential Responsibilities

Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments for students referred for services

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
-
Provide direct occupational therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
-
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement
-
Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations regarding accommodations and services
-
Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, reports, and service records
-
Comply with all district, state, and federal regulations related to special education services
Qualifications
-
Current California Occupational Therapist license in good standing
-
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
-
School-based or pediatric experience preferred
-
Knowledge of special education processes and IEP development preferred
-
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
-
Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and varying abilities
Requirements
-
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California
-
One (1) year of professional Occupational Therapy experience preferred
-
Compliance with all applicable professional standards and ethical guidelines
-
Current CPR certification if required by assignment
-
TB clearance (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, as applicable)
-
Current health screening or certification as required by state regulations or contract requirements
-
Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
-
Must be at least 18 years of age
