Join in the Battle for Better Banking.
Battle Bank, N.A. is a growing, digitally focused national bank headquartered in Upsala, Minnesota. We serve clients across the United States and Canada through modern digital channels while maintaining deep roots in our home community of Morrison County and the state of Minnesota. As a bank planning to operate under a CRA Strategic Plan for 2027–2029, community development is not a compliance afterthought for us. It is a core part of how we lend, invest, and build relationships.
Battle Bank, N.A. is seeking an experienced commercial lender who combines strong, well-rounded commercial credit skills with a demonstrated track record of building Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) assets and relationships. This is a dual-mandate role: you will be an active participant in the lending activities of Battle Bank, managing commercial lending requests that come to the bank from across the United States and Canada, while proactively developing CRA-qualified lending, investment, and community relationships throughout Minnesota, with a special emphasis on Morrison County and the surrounding Central Minnesota region.
The position is remote or hybrid. Candidates located in Minnesota, particularly within reasonable driving distance of Upsala and the Central Minnesota area, are strongly preferred given the community development focus of the role.
The Commercial Lender – CRA Development Officer will report directly to the Chief Credit Officer and be a member of the Lending team. This is a full-time position, with a pay range of $150,000 - $175,000 depending on experience. •Monitor existing credits for covenant compliance, financial performance, and early warning signs; manage renewals, modifications, and workouts as needed.
•Maintain complete, well-documented credit files consistent with bank policy and regulatory expectations.
CRA Development (Strategic Plan Focus)
•Serve as the bank's lead business development officer and possibly CRA Coordinator for CRA-qualified lending and community development activity under the bank's 2027–2029 CRA Strategic Plan.
