Position Summary The Senior Regulatory Analyst supports Aetna's commercial health insurance business, with a primary focus on California and additional support across the Western U.S. This role helps ensure compliance with state regulations, manages regulatory filings and responses, supports corporate governance activities, and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare, insurance, compliance, or regulatory affairs and thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate regulatory filings, responses, and communications with state regulators.
  • Support relationships and interactions with California regulatory agencies.
  • Assist with governance activities for California legal entities, including board and committee support.
  • Research legal, regulatory, and compliance issues.
  • Track legislative and regulatory changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
  • Maintain regulatory databases, repositories, and tracking tools.
  • Support compliance initiatives and regulatory projects across the West Region.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Government Affairs, and business teams to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Help manage regulatory obligations, deadlines, and reporting activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in: Regulatory affairs Healthcare compliance Insurance operations Legal operations Project management Related fields
  • Experience working in a highly regulated healthcare, insurance, or managed care environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with health plans or managed care organizations.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, insurance, or managed care regulations.
  • Experience supporting: Regulatory filings Regulatory inquiries Audits, examinations, or investigations Compliance activities
  • Familiarity with California insurance and managed care regulators.
  • Experience supporting board, committee, or corporate governance processes.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining regulatory tracking systems.
  • Ability to work independently, handle confidential information, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and commitment to continuous improvement.

Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:

$46,988.00 - $112,200.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
