Please note this opportunity is contingent upon award:

As the Avionics Manager, you are the focal point the effort for supporting and maintaining all avionics maintenance and applicable modification activities the United States Naval UC-12 aircraft fleet at 17 CONUS and OCONUS locations. Primary focus will be on avionics subsystems, and associated support equipment. You will oversee the communications, navigation, monitoring, flight control systems, and other electronic systems vital for safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and direction of maintenance personnel.

  • Support maintenance material control, which focuses on system software, and special tools/equipment.

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure all avionics systems are operational and meet regulatory standards.

  • Establish safety protocols for the repair and maintenance of avionics equipment.

  • Oversight of major and minor inspections.

  • Launch and recovery of the aircraft

  • Supply of all Contractor owned spares and support equipment through a Contractor Owned and Maintained Parts (COMP)

  • Repair and overhaul of all repairable spares at Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified repair stations; maintenance and repair of all support equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 years or more of aircraft avionics maintenance experience

  • Possess a current Federal Communications Commission (FCC) General Radio Telephone Operator License

  • Experience managing complex aircraft avionics modifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a United States DoD Secret Security Clearance. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a United States DoD Secret Security Clearance.

  • High School Diploma/GED minimally required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Naval or Marine Corps service and/or contracting experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace/Aviation, Engineering, Logistics, Management, or related field

  • Three years or more advanced troubleshooting of electronic flight instrument systems.

Compensation Range: $120K - $135K

120000 - 135000
