Job Title: Housekeeper 2 - East Central Regional Hospital - AugustaAgency: Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Job Requisition ID: JR0000003401Shift: Compensation Details: $26,540.80 Job Description: Under general supervision, performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Cleans and straightens assigned areas.
- Collect, sorts, launders, transports, and distributes linens and uniforms.
- Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse.
- Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed.
- Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition.
- May mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair.
Preferred Qualifications Include:
- Must have some basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning chemicals, and how to operate some equipment used in cleaning
- 2 years of job related experience, able to lift and/or move 10-20 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications: One (1) year of experience in related area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 1 (FES040) or position equivalent.
