Full job description

About Us: Fireworks is the platform for specialized intelligence, enabling companies to build, train, and serve AI models tailored to their own data, workflows, and products. Founded by the team behind PyTorch and backed by AMD, Atreides, Benchmark Capital, Index Ventures, Lightspeed, NVIDIA, Sequoia Capital, and TCV, Fireworks powers production AI with hundreds of state-of-the-art open models across text, image, embedding, audio, and multimodal workloads. Today, Fireworks is a Series D company valued at $17.5 billion, bringing together an ambitious, collaborative team that's building the future of enterprise AI. The role This is a customer-facing role for a deeply technical product manager. You'll spend most of your time with our most important customers and strategic projects. You'll go into a customer's environment, understand their data, models and workflows, and design the solution that gets them to production on Fireworks. You'll be equally at home in a technical deep dive with a customer's ML engineers and in a meeting with their executives. You'll own outcomes: a customer's success, a new use case, or a high-priority strategic project from start to finish.

What you'll do

Customer engagements

  • Work directly with customers, from fast-moving AI startups to large enterprises, to find their highest-value use cases.

  • Map each customer's environment: data, existing models, latency and cost needs, and infrastructure.

  • Design and propose tailored solutions and proofs of concept that show the value of Fireworks in real customer environments.

  • Lead technical onboarding and implementation, including fine-tuning workflows, latency benchmarks, API integration and cost modeling.

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers shape their AI strategy on Fireworks.

  • Turn early interest into long-term usage and expansion.

Strategic projects

  • Own strategic customer engagements end to end, from first conversation to long-term success.

  • Run high-priority, cross-functional initiatives, such as partnerships and model launches.

  • Create new go-to-market motions and repeatable playbooks so one customer's success becomes many.

  • Build the business case and help close and grow key accounts with our sales team.

Working across Fireworks

  • Partner closely with engineering, research, applied ML, sales and field engineering.

  • Share what you learn from customers with our engineering and research teams.

  • Explain complex technical trade-offs clearly to any audience.

Minimum requirements

  • Technical degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a similar field.

  • Prior experience in software engineering or another technical role before moving into product management.

  • Product management experience.

  • Previous customer-facing experience, working directly with external customers and clients.

  • Strong, practical fluency with LLMs: inference, fine-tuning, evals and agents, and how they connect to latency, quality and cost in production.

  • Credible with both a customer's engineers and their executives.

  • Focus on outcomes, comfort with ambiguity, and fast context-switching.

  • Deep hunger and motivation. This isn't a 9-to-5 job, and you'll be expected to step up during “wartime” periods.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in forward deployed, solutions engineering or customer-embedded technical roles.

  • Engineering management experience.

  • You've personally built on an LLM API or trained or fine-tuned a model.

  • Partnership or strategic customer work at a technical company.

  • Early startup or founding experience.

Why Fireworks?

  • Solve Hard Problems: Tackle challenges at the forefront of AI infrastructure, from low-latency inference to scalable model serving.

  • Build What’s Next: Work with bleeding-edge technology that impacts how businesses and developers harness AI globally.

  • Ownership & Impact: Join a fast-growing, passionate team where your work directly shapes the future of AI—no bureaucracy, just results.

  • Learn from the Best: Collaborate with world-class engineers and AI researchers who thrive on curiosity and innovation.

Fireworks AI is an equal-opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all innovators.
