Define requirements for new applications and customizations, adhering to standards, processes and best practices. Own software delivery tasks (code development, test, deployment) at an application/software component level. Participate in team prioritization discussions with Product/Business stakeholders. Troubleshoot and refactor existing code. Adopt new languages and architecture patterns needed for the work. Influence the decisions made by the team and assist peers and less experienced team members. Demonstrate active learning and sharing of software practices via Guild/Engineering community initiatives. Assist in technical documentation of APIs and services being delivered. Job Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer / Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or related technical field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, IT Engineer, Software Developer, Technical Lead, Programmer Analyst or related. Alternatively, employer will accept no degree and eight (8) years of progressively responsible work experience. Qualifying experience must include at least one (1) year with each of the following: C, C+, C#; Java, JavaScript; COBOL; SQL; Gitflow; Sonar, Checkmarx; Python; Basic design patterns including factory, adaptor, singleton, composite, observer, strategy, and inversion of control; Waterfall or Scrum or Kanban or SAFe; Engineering principles including security, customer experience, testing, operability, simplification, service-oriented architecture; Continuous Integration (CI) and Delivery (CD).
