The Opportunity

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic Transient Sales Specialist to join our Central Services RFP Assist team, who will focus on establishing and executing transient sales strategy for a portfolio of Essentials hotels. In this role, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across Commercial Services and our Essentials brand hotels, playing an important part in strengthening Hyatt’s position as a leading hospitality company. The Role

The Central Services, Transient Sales Specialist role requires a candidate who has demonstrated a thorough understanding and competence in the Transient business segment, Hyatt systems, and the hotel/business travel industry. This individual will be responsible for driving the corporate negotiated and consortia strategy for a portfolio of Essential hotels.

  • Develop strong understanding of Hyatt’s Transient tools and RFP process to guide hotels on executionManage Transient RFP strategy & response for participating hotels

  • Provide excellent service to hotels while maintaining a positive attitude

Qualifications:

Experience Required

  • Expert user of the new user interface of Cvent transient

  • Adept with Excel and basic business use

  • Proficient in general computer knowledge, Microsoft Suite, and Envision

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a hotel or related field

  • Knowledge of Amadeus products (Agency360 and Demand360)

  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Ability to manage upward with good debate and consensus skills with objectivity

  • Home office position which requires the need for productive home office space

Experience Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

The salary range for this position is $72,000-$75,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards, an annual bonus, monthly or quarterly incentives, etc.

The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
