Full job description

Job Summary:

Are you energized by precision science, high-tech innovation, and leading teams at the front edge of U.S. nuclear technology? As the Non-Destructive Analysis (NDA) Program Manager at Centrus Energy , you’ll be the driving force behind establishing and managing the development of an NDA program that keeps our enrichment operations safe, compliant, and running with clockwork accuracy. You’ll assemble a team of talented engineers, lead the development of a mature in-house NDA measurement program, provide technical support to the nuclear material control and accountability program, provide design and system support to the engineering organization and develop operations that support the nation’s most advanced nuclear technology. If you love blending leadership, problem-solving, and a dash of scientific detective work—this is a great opportunity for you to excel.

What You Will Do:

In this role, you’ll be a key part of a high-performing team responsible for the safe, compliant operation of NDA equipment and other analytical capabilities that support NRC-regulated nuclear operations. You’ll manage the development of NDA programs and processes from initiation to steady state operation; develop operational and maintenance procedures to optimize waste handling efforts; coordinate with operations, engineering, auditors, and regulators; and ensure all work aligns with nuclear safety, QA, configuration management, and security requirements. You’ll maintain strong team focus, troubleshoot technical and operational challenges, and drive continuous improvement across the NDA program—all while fostering a positive, collaborative environment. Along the way, you’ll set expectations, build and mentor your team, and have the authority to stop work when safety or compliance is at risk.

We’d Love to Hear from People With:

  • A BA/BS in a scientific or engineering field, or equivalent experience with measurement programs associated with radioactive isotopes

  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing NDA programs in an industrial environment

  • Strong knowledge of scientific principles, laboratory processes, and regulatory expectations

  • Familiarity with safe handling of classified materials and regulated nuclear processes

  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance

A Successful Candidate Brings:

  • Extensive experience with Non-Destructive Assay (NDA) principles and equipment

  • Experience managing programs conducting NDA measurements in nuclear facilities or other similar operations

  • An advanced degree in a related scientific or engineering field, or equivalent analytical experience measuring uranium and other radioactive isotopes

  • A solid understanding of federal and state regulations relevant to nuclear, chemical, or laboratory environments

  • Active “Q” or Top Secret Clearance

Pay:

Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $92,915 - $154,858. This position is incentive eligible.
