Principal Civil/Structural Engineer

About the role: As a Principal Structural Engineer you will support of design activities in the area of structural steel and reinforced concrete design. You will report to the Structural Steel Senior Manager, Building Engineering & Physical Design and be located at global headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The position is hybrid, you will be on site 2 days per week. Key Responsibilities: 1. Perform analysis for steel structures including primary member design, bolted / welded connection designs, concrete anchorage 2. Address technical issues related to the fabrication, assembly, and construction phases of a civil/structural project. This includes technical justification of design changes and requires troubleshooting of emergent technical issues. 3. Prepare drawing markups to support change packages 4. On-Site support at multiple utilities and smaller projects. 5. Provide engineering guidance and mentorship to assist team members in their development to support department and our goals Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering 2. 10+ years of experience required 3. Professional Engineer license required. 4. Experience leading complex engineering projects in both technical and operational aspects 5. Familiarity with steel fabrication processes, design for fabrication methods, supporting construction/installation activities for major steel structures.* 6. Proficiency with GT Strudl structural analysis tool 7. Fluent to expert knowledge of AISC N690 / Steel Manuals, AWS Welding and/or ACI codes and standards We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
