Estimator

Job Title: Construction Estimator

Location: Stoystown, PA

Type: Direct Hire

Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to establish project requirements

• Perform material quantity takeoffs and labor estimates for structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication projects

• Request and evaluate quotations from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bid summaries, and proposal documents

• Build and maintain estimating spreadsheets, databases, and historical cost records

• Work with engineering, fabrication, and purchasing teams to confirm estimate accuracy

• Identify project risks, clarifications, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities

• Support customer, vendor, and subcontractor relationships throughout the bidding process

• Make occasional visits to the fabrication shop or project sites

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent estimating experience

• Ability to read construction drawings

• Strong analytical and math skills

• Proficiency in Excel and estimating software

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and ERP software

• Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
