The Opportunity

Join our dynamic team as a Broker License and Commisssion Specialist, where you will assist in licensing and commission functions for MetLife’s Corporate and Bank Owned Life Insurance products (COLI/BOLI) and Post Retirement Benefit products (PRB), both residing with MetLife’s Retirement & Income Solutions (RIS) division of US Business.

As a key member of the Licensing & Commission team, you will verify license credentials, appoint brokers, operationalize broker-of-record changes, calculate and process commission payments, respond to inquiries and act as the direct liaison to the COLI/BOLI and PRB broker communities.

The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional partners in Sales, Client Services, Policy Holder Services & Finance, as well as more broadly across the MetLife enterprise in functional areas such as Corporate Licensing, Sales & Broker Compensation and Finance to provide broker & broker-dealer contracting & commission support for new and existing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as direct liaison to Sales, Client Executives, and the external broker community, coordinating broker of record changes, appointment requests, and broker and broker-dealer licensing and appointment checks.
  • Perform quarterly, monthly, and annual commission and fee calculations, and review weekly terminated appointment reporting to ensure required appointments are reinstated.
  • Create, coordinate, and manage the review and approval of product-specific broker agreements and commission documents.
  • Facilitate licensing and commission-related audit and compliance requests, and drive special licensing and commission projects to completion.
  • Work across various MetLife administrative platforms to support licensing, commission, and broker management activities.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 years related business experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & OneDrive.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain strong external broker relationships.
  • Ability to use AI to improve speed, quality and efficiency across a broad range of day-to-day tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with broker licensing & commission related work.
  • Knowledge of COLI/BOLI products.
  • College Degree or higher.

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

The expected salary range for this position is $62,100 - $82,800. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
