Job Summary/Description:

WMC in Memphis, TN seeks a dynamic and creative newscast producer who will thrive in a highly competitive environment. The ideal candidate will have a clear vision for their assigned newscast but will have the ability to take over any other newscast on a given day. Must be a strong, clear, and concise writer, be an avid news consumer on multiple platforms, and thrive under a deadline.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Select stories, determine story order, write broadcast scripts, edit video, create graphics and other showcasing elements to enhance viewer experience and understanding of content
• Collaborate with anchors, reporters, digital producers, editors, directors, management, etc., to choreograph all elements of the newscast from big picture to minute details

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience
• Experience working in a television newsroom is strongly preferred
• Strong, accurate writing skills
• Passionate about news and current events
• Solid news judgment
• Excellent time management
