Description

Our Client is looking for a detail-oriented Associate Account Manager to support the review and coordination of complex claims involving environmental, asbestos, and other long-tail liability matters in Boston, Massachusetts. This role works closely with internal teams, outside counsel, and insurance partners to assess coverage, organize claim activity, and help move matters toward resolution. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in civil litigation or insurance defense and is comfortable managing documentation, legal support tasks, and claim-related communications in a fast-paced setting. Paralegals with Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, or Insurance experience are encouraged to apply!!

Responsibilities:

  • Review new claim submissions and supporting materials to identify key facts, exposure considerations, and potential coverage issues.

  • Assist with locating and organizing policy documentation by partnering with internal research resources when coverage records are incomplete or disputed.

  • Support the evaluation of claims under primary, umbrella, and excess policies to help establish an informed handling approach.

  • Coordinate with outside counsel, insured parties, and other carriers to support defense planning and ongoing case strategy.

  • Track claim progress and contribute to resolution efforts, including preparation for settlement discussions or mediation when appropriate.

  • Work with legal, management, and reinsurance stakeholders to provide updates, respond to inquiries, and support coverage-related actions.

  • Help maintain accurate reserves, process claim-related payments, and confirm that costs are assigned to the correct policies and files.

  • Prepare, organize, and maintain complete claim documentation in accordance with internal guidelines, regulatory expectations, and licensing requirements.Ass

Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in claims, paralegal support, civil litigation, insurance defense, or a related legal environment.

  • Working knowledge of legal documentation, claim file organization, and litigation support practices.

  • Familiarity with general liability, environmental, toxic tort, products liability, or other complex casualty matters is preferred.

  • Ability to analyze records, summarize findings, and communicate clearly with internal teams, counsel, and external partners.

  • Experience supporting document drafting, claim reviews, audits, or payment coordination in a detail-focused setting.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.

  • Willingness to obtain and maintain adjuster licenses as required and travel when business needs arise.
