What you will do

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software features and applications.

  • Build and improve distributed, web-based applications that support business operations.

  • Investigate software issues and deliver complete technical solutions to defined problems.

  • Collaborate with engineering teammates and business partners to understand requirements and improve the user experience.

  • Apply development standards and best practices for quality, security, and patient data protection.

  • Document system designs and architecture, share knowledge, and contribute to improvements in development practices.

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, plus 2–4 years of software development experience.

  • Experience building distributed, web-based applications using an object-oriented language and common development patterns, including model-view-controller.

  • Experience developing enterprise software on an Agile team and contributing throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Strong relational database skills, including design, programming, and performance tuning, plus experience with Entity Framework or a similar framework; Microsoft SQL Server preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, an understanding of secure application design, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively.

  • Basic understanding of durable medical equipment and hospice operations, with a commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

  • Preferred experience includes JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React, cloud platforms such as AWS, scripting tools, Xamarin mobile development, or benefits, transaction processing, or financial services systems.
