Are you ready to take your skills to the next level? Look no further than McGard, a leading company in the automotive industry! We are seeking a highly talented and motivated HR Administrator to join our dynamic team and contribute to our ongoing success.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources department while upholding a high level of confidentiality. Receives calls and visitors, maintains temporary associate placements, assists with various department functions, including onboarding, record-keeping, file maintenance, and updating the company intranet.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Receive incoming calls and use the Company’s paging system.

Manage the visitor reception process by greeting guests, addressing inquiries, issuing visitor passes and ensuring all guests are properly equipped with eye and ear protection as required for their visit.

Maintain and update real-time tracking lists for all active and in-process temporary associates and open staffing orders.

Work closely with staffing agencies to articulate staffing needs, facilitate on-site tours and assessments and notify of resulting associate selection, and communicate performance concerns and associate cancellations.

Partner with facility supervisors to monitor performance, ensure timely evaluations, and facilitate the transition of eligible associates from temporary to full employees.

Maintain logs via spreadsheets for temps, applicants, lockers, etc.

Administer paperwork for referral bonus program, employee balances/reimbursements for health care spending account, work boot, and safety glasses programs.

Scan and update training records, certifications, and personnel documents into the training system.

Track annual HR processes, such as performance review completion, employee handbook distribution, etc. in appropriate systems.

Support HR Generalists with daily recruitment tasks including greeting candidates, administering interview paperwork, managing internal job posting boards, and drafting professional correspondence.

Assist with candidate tracking and compliance by logging applicant data in tracking spreadsheets, scheduling pre-employment physical exams, assembling new hire packets, and creating new employee personnel files.

Schedule meetings, trainings, and other internal appointments as needed.

Coordinate various internal and external administrative communications such as company letters, internal memos, communication board, company property notices, memorial postings, employee raffles / giveaways, company reference materials and employee birthday cards.

Work with HR Department to prepare for company events, engagement activities, retirement and service achievement events.

Understands the need for Government forms (i.e. OSHA) and where to find them.

Will assist the HR Department in other areas as needed and other tasks may be assigned.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; associates or bachelors degree in HR or Business preferred.

One to three (1-3) years’ administrative or HR support experience preferred.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and data entry. Familiarity with ADP a plus.

Familiar with confidentiality standards and practices.

Strong organizational skills.
