Production Artist

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Production Artist for an Onsite position with a Major Media and Entertainment Company located in Brooklyn, NY. This is a 4+ month contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design and sign fabrication, with a focus on creating print-ready materials such as posters, floor graphics, prop packaging, dimensional lettering, and event displays. This role involves working in a fast-paced print shop environment within the film, television, and live events industries, requiring close collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality materials on tight deadlines. Responsibilities: * Provide customer service including heavy phone and e-mail support to schedule projects * Estimate projects, both large and small, and establish product pricing * Interpret and process digital files for sign production, reviewing print proofs and making adjustments to ensure quality * Ensure designs adhere to print specifications, including color profiles, resolution, and bleed requirements * Involved in all aspects of sign and graphics production including digital printing, vinyl work, routing, and overall sign fabrication * Consult with clients to understand project scope, suggest material alternatives, and ensure feasibility within timelines * Incorporate client feedback and revisions to refine designs Requirements: * High School Diploma * 3+ years of relevant experience in a print shop environment * Experience in a large format graphics department working with ONYX & Versaworks RIPs, Adobe Acrobat, and color matching * Experience preparing final artwork files for printing (file setup, color management, pre-flight checks) * Proficiency in handling materials such as vinyl, acrylic, metal, wood, and foam board * Experience with CNC routing, laser cutting, and assembling signs using power tools * Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members * Creative flair, attention to detail, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset * Ability to lift 50 poundsDesired skills: * Knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting of large format printers and ink * Ability to operate all equipment in the shop including large format printers, CNC router, vinyl cutter/plotter, and laminator * Experience working in a sign shop in New York and knowledge of the vendors in the area Pay range: up to $30.00 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, apply today!Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is a certified Minority and Veteran workforce solutions company.
