Full job description

Earn up to $95 per session helping Californians thrive!

Overview

Join our mission to make quality mental healthcare accessible to every person who needs it. At Daybreak Health, you'll be part of a movement dedicated to removing barriers to care and empowering young people to thrive emotionally and mentally.

We partner with over 60 school districts and dozens of health plans—including Kaiser Permanente—reaching more than one million young people nationwide. Our clinicians enjoy the stability of consistent referrals and a meaningful caseload, allowing you to focus on what matters most: making a real difference in clients' lives.

We're seeking compassionate, licensed mental health clinicians to provide teletherapy to adolescents and adults ages 11-60 throughout California (you can even choose your age range). In this role, you'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to help our clients thrive. Every session you lead has the power to change a person's trajectory—and that's just the beginning of the impact you'll make.

Please note: This role is open to therapists who are fully licensed in California only; associate and provisionally licensed therapists are not eligible.

1099 Independent Contractor

Our new tiered pay structure rewards clinicians who want to grow their caseload, with no cap on your earnings:

  • 💵 $75–$90 per session, based on weekly caseload volume

  • 📋 Paid intake assessments

  • 🕒 Paid no-shows and late cancellations

  • 🌐 $5 Bilingual session differential available for every session

  • 🎓 $340 paid onboarding training stipend

  • 📚 Free continuing education credits year-round and a dedicated intake assistant who supports with all initial scheduling and consent forms

  • 🛡️ Malpractice insurance included

  • 💳 Biweekly pay — Daybreak handles all billing

  • 📈 Flexible caseload: Start with just 5 sessions per week, see as many clients as you'd like
