You will spend much of your day on the shop floor, coordinating with Picking, Logistics, Procurement, Production, Engineering and Quality to resolve material shortages, picking errors, and execution issues. Your work will provide the hands-on operational follow-up needed to keep outsourced panel production moving and support on-time delivery to the factory.
How You’ll Make an Impact
-
Coordinate the daily execution of outsourced panel production by monitoring priorities, production progress, material readiness, supplier commitments, and expected delivery dates.
-
Define and communicate the required production sequence to suppliers, adjusting priorities with Production Planning and factory stakeholders as business needs change.
-
Track the delivery, inventory, and consumption of company-provided materials and reconcile quantities issued, used, remaining at suppliers, and associated with completed panels.
-
Visit supplier facilities to assess production status, verify material availability, identify execution risks, and coordinate recovery actions for shortages or delays.
-
Support Picking and Logistics teams by investigating missing, incorrect, damaged, or substituted parts and clarifying deviations affecting supplier production.
-
Maintain accurate status information in SAP and operational trackers, escalate risks promptly, and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and internal teams.
What You Bring
-
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant manufacturing experience may also be considered.
-
Entry-level position; previous internship, co-op, or up to two years of experience in manufacturing, production control, material coordination, logistics, warehousing, or supplier operations is preferred.
-
Working knowledge of SAP or another ERP system is preferred, including the ability to track materials, inventory movements, requirements, and transaction history.
-
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to reconcile parts, investigate discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and follow issues through resolution.
-
Effective communication and organizational skills, with the willingness to work primarily on the shop floor, interact directly with suppliers, travel to supplier facilities as required, and manage changing operational priorities.
