Licensed Practical Nurse - SCI Laurel Highlands

This position provides hands-on nursing services that support the daily health needs of individuals housed at SCI Laurel Highlands. It focuses on carrying out care plans and delivering essential clinical support. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will perform the following duties: 1. Clinical Support: Perform nursing tasks such as taking vital signs, assisting with treatments, and supporting activities of daily living 2. Medication Administration: Prepare and administer prescribed medications and record all related actions accurately 3. Emergency Response: Provide first aid, CPR, or AED support during medical emergencies as appropriate 4. Health Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic health records and prepare reports needed for care continuity 5. Care Coordination: Communicate important information to nursing, custody, and administrative staff to support safe operations 6. Full-time employment, 40 hour work week. 2. The Department of Corrections is staffed by three (3) work shifts that cover the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. 3. 1st shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm; 2nd shift: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm; and 3rd shift: 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. 4. Work hours TO BE DETERMINED 5. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. 6. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. 7. Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $68,914.00 (before taxes). 8.
