Senior Human Resources Coordinator

Leadership and Oversight: Lead the HR team and oversee all departmental HR processes. Manage and support the full employment lifecycle of faculty, staff, students, researchers, and affiliated workers in coordination with the HR Coordinator and the Finance and Administration team. This position will focus on supporting faculty and staff including researchers and affiliated workers while also overseeing student employment.Recruitment, Onboarding, and Off-boarding: Oversee hiring processes for the Department. Collaborate with teams and supervisors to create new positions, consult on job postings, and assist with recruiting efforts for staff and research positions. Provide resources and guidance to hiring managers. Manage department onboarding for new employees, including new-hire orientation, training, and assistance with employee inquiries. Manage department off-boarding for separating employees.Oversee employment visa and permanent residency documentation for faculty, researchers, and international scholars.Policy and Training: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures specific to the department and in adherence to College of Natural Sciences and University policy. Supervise and provide ongoing training to the HR Coordinator. Provide training to faculty and staff as needed on HR policies and procedures.Collaboration and Customer Service: In collaboration with department leadership, support personnel matters, changes in employment, leaves, and other HR needs. Provide reports to supervisors and the department. Liaise with and act as first point of contact for the College HR office, Payroll Services, Central HR, International Office, Provost Office and other related offices for all human resource functions. Demonstrate exceptional customer service with both internal and external customers. Contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture and promote collaboration and teamwork as part of the Finance and Administration team.Other duties as assigned.
