Full job description
Description We are looking for a Commercial Litigation Associate to join a legal team in Baltimore, Maryland. This opportunity is suited for an attorney with solid litigation experience who wants meaningful involvement in complex business disputes and regular interaction with clients and senior litigators. The role offers hands-on participation across all phases of litigation, including strategic case development, courtroom advocacy, and trial preparation, within a fast-moving and intellectually demanding practice.
Responsibilities:

Lead and support commercial litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution in state and federal courts.

Prepare persuasive legal documents, including motions, briefs, memoranda, and other filings, grounded in thorough research and sound analysis.

Oversee discovery activities by managing written responses, reviewing records, and coordinating document production.

Take part in depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances, with increasing responsibility based on experience.

Work closely with partners and clients to evaluate case strategy, procedural risks, and practical business considerations.

Contribute to trial readiness by organizing evidence, preparing witnesses, and assisting during courtroom proceedings.

Balance multiple active matters while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and strong attention to deadlines. Requirements

At least 3 years of experience handling commercial or civil litigation matters within a law firm setting.

Admission to the Maryland Bar is required.

Strong legal research, analytical reasoning, and persuasive writing abilities.

Experience drafting motions and participating in deposition preparation or examination.

Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated legal issues with sound judgment and close attention to detail.

Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.

Strong academic background and the ability to work effectively across multiple assignments.
