About the Opportunity

A growing consumer products and distribution organization is seeking an EDI and Operations Specialist to support and optimize wholesale and retail account operations. This role serves as a key liaison between Sales, Finance, Purchasing, Logistics, Marketing, and Customer Operations to ensure seamless execution across wholesale channels.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting national retail accounts, managing EDI processes, maintaining retailer compliance, and improving operational workflows. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving problems, streamlining processes, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day wholesale order processing and fulfillment activities, ensuring customer orders are delivered accurately and on time.

  • Own and manage EDI operations, including retailer onboarding, mapping, testing, implementation, monitoring, and issue resolution.

  • Ensure compliance with retailer-specific requirements related to shipping, labeling, routing, and operational standards.

  • Monitor operational performance metrics, including OTIF (On-Time In-Full), ASN accuracy, scorecards, and compliance reporting.

  • Lead onboarding activities for new wholesale and retail partners, including vendor setup, product data management, EDI implementation, and process training.

  • Maintain product, customer, pricing, and fulfillment data across ERP systems, EDI platforms, and retailer portals.

  • Serve as the primary operational contact for wholesale customers, distributors, and sales representatives.

  • Support sales initiatives through sample coordination, trade show logistics, merchandising displays, and retail programs.

  • Develop and maintain reporting related to order status, fulfillment performance, deductions, retailer scorecards, and account performance.

  • Analyze sales and operational trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and business growth.

  • Partner with Sales and Supply Chain teams to support demand planning and forecasting efforts.

  • Improve reporting automation, data visibility, and operational workflows.

  • Identify process gaps and implement scalable solutions that improve efficiency and reduce recurring issues.

  • Document and standardize operational processes and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in wholesale operations, retail operations, supply chain, customer operations, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience managing EDI transactions and retailer compliance requirements.

  • Experience onboarding new retail or wholesale customers.

  • Strong ability to work independently and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.

  • Proven experience developing and improving operational processes.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and external partners.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with ERP systems.

  • Experience with SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, or similar EDI platforms.

  • Background supporting major retailers, distributors, or large-scale accounts.

  • Experience managing retailer vendor portals and transportation portals.

  • Familiarity with AI tools and process automation technologies.

  • Knowledge of supply chain, logistics, inventory, and distribution operations.
