Varsity Track and Field Coach

Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of the varsity track and field program, including practices, competitions, and athlete development.Develop and implement training programs tailored to athletes' individual events, abilities, and performance goals.Instruct student-athletes in proper techniques for running, jumping, throwing, and other track and field events.Evaluate athlete performance, conduct tryouts, and determine team rosters and event assignments.Monitor athlete progress and establish goals to improve speed, strength, endurance, and overall performance.Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance while promoting teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and accountability.Coordinate with assistant coaches, athletic directors, school administrators, and parents regarding team activities and expectations.Organize practice schedules, meet registrations, transportation, equipment, and competition logistics.Monitor student-athlete academic progress, attendance, and eligibility to ensure compliance with school and athletic policies.Ensure compliance with school district, league, and athletic association rules, regulations, and safety guidelines.Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, team travel, and other track and field activities.Maintain track and field equipment and ensure practice and competition areas are safe and properly prepared.Analyze athlete and team performance to identify areas for improvement and adjust training strategies.Foster a positive, competitive, and inclusive team environment that encourages athletic achievement and personal growth.
