Full job description

Job ID: 196294

Facility: NYU Langone Medical Center

Perlmutter Cancer Center and NYU Langone Health - Our mission is to provide longitudinal, patient centered, exceptional breast cancer care within a health system where quality is the uncompromising standard. NYU Langone Health has been ranked No. 1 among 115 comprehensive academic medical centers nationwide for three consecutive years by Vizient Inc. According to U.S. News & World Report, NYU Langone Health also has more No. 1–ranked specialties than any other medical center in the U.S. That same standard of excellence extends across our 5 inpatient locations, the Perlmutter Cancer Center (a top-20 nationally ranked cancer center), and more than 320 outpatient locations spanning New York and Florida.

The Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center at NYU Langone Health (PCC)—an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center—is growing rapidly, with 12 clinical locations spanning Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and Long Island alongside a thriving, highly efficient clinical trials program. As we build on this momentum, we invite outstanding physicians to join us.

Breast Medical Oncology – We are seeking an outstanding clinical researcher/clinician who is passionate about impacting breast cancer clinical care and research. This role requires strong oncologic care of breast cancer patients, as well as serving as a leader of investigator-initiated and national (pharma and cooperative group) studies in various venues to have a local and national impact. The ideal candidate seeks scientifically rigorous research opportunities alongside a team of deeply committed physicians and scientists at the PCC and participate in mentorship of trainees and junior faculty. Our team engages in personalized clinical care, clinical trials, translational research and trainee education, collaborating closely within a multidisciplinary environment, across multiple collaborative sites. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of a rapidly growing breast oncology program at one of the nation's top-ranked cancer centers, working alongside a robust portfolio of studies and a fully system-integrated hematology/oncology faculty group. This role is based at NYU Langone Hospital, in Manhattan.

Selected candidates will be appointed as full-time faculty members at NYU Grossman School of Medicine or NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

NYU Langone Health is an equal opportunity employer and committed to inclusion in all aspects of recruiting and employment. All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply and will receive consideration.
