Software Engineer, Development Lead (JavaScript/TypeScript) (SAB-2609-04)

Lead developers building a flexible web-based tool for a government customer. This is a customer-facing role: you will keep work on schedule, give technical direction, run demos, raise risks early, and work with systems engineers on user acceptance testing. What you will do: - Provide technical guidance and enforce coding standards on an agile team - Keep the project on track, set internal schedules and milestones, and communicate risks - Present demos to the customer - Maintain configuration management, build deployment packages, and prepare documentation - Support systems engineers with testing and coordinate software deliveries with outside organizations Required qualifications: - Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (U.S. citizenship required). - Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of software engineering experience. Without a degree, 9 years of software engineering experience. - At least 2 years of that experience in the SIGINT, information assurance, or IT domains. - JavaScript and TypeScript experience - Familiarity with unit and functional testing - Experience working within agile development projects - Strong writing skills, including program and process documentation - Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills, with close attention to detail - Working knowledge of government information-handling standards across multiple environments Preferred qualifications: - Jest, Cypress, and Docker - Requirements analysis from system architecture and concepts of operation Location: On-site at a government or contractor facility in the Fort Meade, MD area. Limited telework may be available. Schedule: Full-time, W-2 Sabre Engineering employee. 40 hours a week, normal day shift. Salary range: $120,000 to $150,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
