Technical Architect Job Locations US-Remote ID 2026-18892 Category Engineering/IT Position Type Full-Time Overview Cotiviti is seeking a forward-thinking Technical Architect to join the team. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role responsible for defining and governing the end-to-end technical architecture of a mission-critical Commercial and CMS audit platform - while simultaneously driving the platform's AI-native transformation. The ideal candidate brings deep enterprise architecture expertise, proven experience embedding AI and LLM capabilities directly into production software workflows, and the ability to lead, mentor, and elevate a cross-functional engineering team. You will own architectural decisions across Angular, ASP.NET/C#, Java, SQL Server, Teradata, and AWS - and spearhead an AI initiative designed to reduce auditor review time, improve documentation consistency, and unlock new levels of productivity across CMS audit operations. Responsibilities Architecture and Design Define and maintain the overall technical architecture for applications, platforms, or enterprise systems. * Evaluate business requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, and secure technical solutions. * Author and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) for all major design choices. * Conduct design reviews, assess risks, and provide recommendations to leadership. AI-Native Development Leadership * Architect AI feedback loops where auditor accept/reject signals retrain and improve model relevance scoring over time. * Implement AI governance frameworks - explainability, confidence scoring, human-in-the-loop controls, audit trail - for all AI outputs influencing CMS audit findings. * Champion AI-assisted SDLC adoption across Team Unstoppable: Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, and similar tooling. * Establish engineering productivity baselines and measure quantifiable AI-driven velocity improvements. * Run structured AI PoC programs that translate into shipped production features - not slide decks. Leadership and Communication * Proven experience leading, mentoring, and elevating teams of 8-15 engineers across mixed experience levels. * Demonstrated ability to translate complex architectural decisions into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders. * Experience producing Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), component diagrams, data flow maps, and integration specifications. * Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across product, operations, security, and compliance teams. Collaboration and Communication * Partner with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements. * Work with project managers to align timelines, risks, and dependencies. * Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Quality and Governance * Define coding standards, patterns, and best practices to improve maintainability and reliability. * Conduct performance reviews, security assessments, and compliance checks. * Stay updated with emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on the organization.
