Role summary:

The Senior Manager, Project Management - Business Operations leads the execution of complex, cross-functional projects by developing strategic business plans, managing resources, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role drives continuous improvement through data-driven decision making, risk mitigation, and stakeholder collaboration. The position fosters team development by mentoring and coaching associates, promoting high performance and accountability. By overseeing project documentation and communication, the Senior Manager ensures transparency and effective change management. This leadership role upholds company values, supports operational excellence, and advances sustainable practices to deliver impactful business results.

About the team:

The Walmart Marketplace Seller Risk team is dedicated to protecting the platform by managing risks related to sellers and preventing unauthorized access. This team continuously monitors seller activities to maintain a secure and reliable marketplace. Collaborating across functions, members lead strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and safeguard customer and brand trust. Utilizing data insights, stakeholder engagement, and process improvements, the team supports sustainable growth and upholds Walmart Marketplace’s reputation as a trusted e-commerce destination. This role involves driving cross-functional projects and fostering strong partnerships to achieve business objectives.

What you'll do:

Drive execution of strategic initiatives, translating priorities into actionable plans, milestones, ownership, and measurable outcomes.

Manage initiative portfolios, tracking progress, dependencies, risks, resources, and key commitments.

Synthesize cross-functional information into clear, executive-ready updates that support informed decision-making.

Establish reporting and operating cadences that provide visibility into performance, priorities, risks, and areas requiring action.

Partner across teams to resolve barriers, mitigate risks, and drive accountability for business outcomes.

Identify and implement process improvements that increase operational effectiveness and scalability.

Lead and develop associates through clear expectations, coaching, feedback, and ongoing development.

What you'll bring:

  • Extensive project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives to successful completion.

  • Proven leadership skills in mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities to align business priorities and foster collaboration.

  • Expertise in risk identification, mitigation strategies, and contingency planning to ensure project continuity.

  • Proficiency in managing project documentation, schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.

San Bruno, California US-08848 | Sunnyvale, California US-11789: The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $202,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-30008: The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field and 4 years' experience in business, operations, analytics, or related area OR 6 years' experience in business, operations, analytics, or related area.

2 years’ supervisory experience.

3 years’ project management experience.
