Revit Drafter / BIM Modeler Fully Remote

We are seeking a skilled Revit Drafter / BIM Modeler to support a major campus expansion project in Tarrytown, NY. This is a fully remote opportunity with a well-established mechanical contractor specializing in complex HVAC and piping systems across commercial and institutional projects.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed modeling, coordination, and translating engineering concepts into accurate, constructible drawings.

About the Role

As a Revit Drafter / BIM Modeler, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to develop detailed 3D models and construction drawings for mechanical piping systems. You will also support coordination, fabrication, and installation efforts throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed 3D Revit models for mechanical piping systems, pipe supports, and related components

  • Create accurate construction, fabrication, and installation drawings

  • Coordinate piping layouts with structural, electrical, plumbing, and other building trades

  • Identify and help resolve clashes, conflicts, and constructability issues

  • Incorporate design changes, field conditions, and project updates into models and drawings

  • Review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, BIM/VDC teams, and field personnel

  • Support fabrication and installation teams by providing clear, buildable documentation

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Revit drafting, BIM modeling, or VDC experience

  • Experience working with mechanical, piping, HVAC, plumbing, or related construction systems strongly preferred

  • Proficiency with Revit; AutoCAD or other Autodesk software experience is a plus

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, structural, and construction drawings

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Good communication and organizational skills

  • Associate degree, technical training, or at least 2 years of relevant college coursework preferred

Preferred Experience

  • Mechanical piping and pipe support modeling

  • HVAC or plumbing coordination

  • Strut systems, threaded rod, beam clamps, anchors, trapeze hangers, and specialty supports

  • BIM coordination and clash detection

  • Fabrication or installation drawings

  • Construction sequencing and field coordination

  • Experience working for a mechanical contractor, MEP contractor, or specialty subcontractor

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr.
