Accountant I PMOUNTJP00001790 * Hourly pay: $40/hr * Worksite: Leading digital streaming network (San Francisco, CA 94107 - Onsite) * W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL * 40 hours/week, 9 Month Assignment A leading digital streaming network seeks an Accountant I to support revenue recognition, contract review, and order processing across digital and streaming business units. Accountant I Responsibilities: * Review digital ad sales contracts against the orders sales teams enter into sales systems, making sure orders are entered correctly and meet revenue recognition requirements, and work with Sales and Client Services teams to ensure proper sales order setup. * Ensure revenue recognition is booked accurately, on time, and in compliance with SOX controls and GAAP standards, and perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, revenue calculations, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations. * Resolve sales order data ingest exceptions so order details are accurately ingested into Oracle for revenue recognition, and process delivery adjustments for media ad sales orders. * Research and respond to Sales and Client Services inquiries on revenue variances related to media orders, provide ongoing guidance on revenue recognition issues, including identifying and addressing the causes of adverse revenue impact, and support ad hoc training and process improvements. * Assist with quarterly SOX audits and internal and external audit requests, and take part in ad hoc revenue analysis and accounting projects as needed. Accountant I Qualifications: * 2+ years of accounting experience; accounts payable or collections-only backgrounds are not preferred. * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. * Oracle or other major ERP experience. * Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookup functions and pivot tables. * Revenue accounting experience is preferred. * Advertising media industry experience is preferred. * Operative One and Salesforce experience is preferred. Shift: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
