Nightwing is seeking to hire a System Engineer (SE 3) for CODEX directly supporting mission critical needs. We solve complex and critical problems in partnership with mission customers.

Job description:
Serves as a scrum master in an agile environment following the software development product lifecycle.
This position requires traditional SE processes such as contributing to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s).
Support developers in translating technical work into diagrams or other documentation needed.
Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination.
Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based upon evaluation of all necessary development and operational considerations.
Participate in the development of system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
Required education and work experience:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and twenty (20) years of experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity. (Five 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.)
Technologies/skills required:
Understanding of agile processes, Java, confluence, Jira, SE models, AWS, requirements, architecture designs, clear and concise communications, collaborative working style with internal and external stakeholders.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Salary & Benefits
The salary associated with this position ($122,000-$253,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
