Job Description

This contract role supports the North America Foodservice category advisory team during Walmart relay season by leading and executing modular drawing and back-end data preparation. The position plays a critical role in the relay modular process, ensuring accurate modular design, data automation, and execution that align with customer expectations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, apply strong category management and project management skills, and use advanced space planning tools to deliver high-quality modular resets for Walmart.

Responsibilities

• Support the North America Foodservice category advisory team throughout Walmart relay season by managing modular drawing and related back-end data.

• Draw modulars that support the Walmart Relay Process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with Walmart standards and expectations.

• Prepare, validate, and maintain modular back-end data to enable efficient automation and execution of relay activities.

• Use JDA/Blue Yonder Space Planning and other modular drawing systems (such as Cantactix, Engine, Nuqleous, ShelfIQ) to design and update planograms and modular layouts.

• Collaborate with category management, supply chain, procurement, inventory, and vendor management stakeholders to ensure modulars reflect current assortment, inventory levels, and supply chain constraints.

• Manage project timelines and deliverables for multiple relay and modular reset initiatives, ensuring work is completed on schedule.

• Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects and deadlines during relay season.

• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external partners, providing updates, clarifications, and issue resolution related to modulars and data.

• Identify issues and discrepancies in modular data or layouts and resolve them using a solution-oriented, problem-solving mindset.

• Adapt to changing requirements, ambiguity, and evolving relay plans, maintaining resilience and flexibility throughout the project lifecycle.

• Take a lead role on future Walmart modular relay projects, leveraging prior relay experience to guide planning, execution, and continuous improvement.

• Maintain accurate documentation of modular layouts, system configurations, and project status to support future relay and reset initiatives.

Essential Skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including working with complex datasets, formulas, and data analysis for modular and relay-related information.

• Advanced PowerPoint skills for creating clear, concise presentations and communicating modular plans and project updates.

• Strong proficiency in JDA/Blue Yonder Space Planning for building, editing, and managing planograms and modular layouts.

• Demonstrated adaptability and resilience, with the ability to work effectively in situations of ambiguity and frequent change.

• Effective prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, particularly during relay season.

• Solid written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and convey technical information clearly.

• Solution-oriented and problem-solving mindset to identify issues and develop practical, data-driven resolutions.

• Strong project and time management skills to plan, organize, and deliver modular and relay activities on schedule.

• Hands-on Walmart Category Management experience on an advisory team, with familiarity in supporting Walmart-specific processes and standards.

• Completion of two or more Walmart Modular Relays, demonstrating direct experience with relay execution and modular reset activities.

• Ability to take a lead role in future Walmart relay projects, guiding modular planning and execution.

• Experience using modular drawing systems including JDA/Space Planning and Cantactix, with familiarity in CKB.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with additional modular drawing tools such as Engine, Nuqleous, and ShelfIQ, or similar systems used by other suppliers.

• Background in category management, with an understanding of assortment planning, space optimization, and merchandising strategies.

• Exposure to project management practices, including planning, tracking, and reporting on deliverables.

• Experience in supply chain, procurement, and inventory processes, enabling better alignment of modulars with operational realities.

• Familiarity with vendor management and purchase order processes to ensure modulars reflect current and future product availability.

Work Environment

The role is based in a climate-controlled Walmart business center in Rogers, Arkansas. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. Work is performed in an office setting using space planning and modular drawing software such as JDA/Blue Yonder Space Planning, Cantactix, Engine, Nuqleous, and ShelfIQ, along with standard productivity tools like Excel and PowerPoint. The environment supports focused, detail-oriented work on modular layouts and data management within regular daytime business hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
