Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer II, where you will be at the forefront of planning and designing packaging equipment, mechanical components, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic systems. This role requires interaction with technical specialists and engineers to ensure our equipment meets customer needs and adheres to all regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Create Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects.

• Contribute to the mechanical design and development of new products.

• Create and dimension engineering/fabrication drawings for sheet metal and machined metal components.

• Develop drawings for installation, training, and operator manuals as needed.

• Produce product final assembly drawings.

• Maintain the drawing database to ensure current documentation is available for the Production department.

• Process Engineering Change Orders.

• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

• Provide engineering support for the Purchasing/Production department and coordinate prototype fabrication with vendors.

• Design, conduct, and document experiments applying engineering principles.

• Specify components and modify designs to ensure they meet standards and performance specifications.

• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend changes.

• Manage complex design tasks with minimal supervision.

• Review technical proposals and quotations, offering technical assistance to manufacturing, sales, and service.

Essential Skills

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• 5+ years of experience in machine design with a focus on manufacturability.

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

• General knowledge of product handling, machine capabilities, and assembly principles.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in packaging machine design is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
