JOB SUMMARY:
The Lead Administrative Nursing Supervisor provides advanced operational and clinical leadership for the Administrative Nursing Supervisor team and works closely with the Nursing Director to monitor and improve hospital operations, staffing, patient flow, quality, and performance. The Lead translates hospital and Patient Care Services objectives, policies, and procedures into effective action; supports consistent supervisor practice across shifts and campuses; and serves as an expert resource for complex clinical, administrative, staffing, and patient-flow issues. The Lead is able to perform all duties of the Administrative Nursing Supervisor role and functions on behalf of the Nursing Director as delegated.
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Required:
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
-
Current Registered Nurse licensure in Massachusetts.
-
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification.
-
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
-
Greater than five (5) years of nursing experience, including at least two (2) years in a charge, lead, supervisory, or comparable leadership role.

At least one (1) year of experience in hospital operations, nursing administration, patient flow, or a related operational role.
Preferred:
-
Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, or a related field.

Specialty or nursing leadership certification.

Two (2) years of experience in patient placement, transfer center, hospital operations, or Administrative Nursing Supervisor/Nurse Supervisor role.

Demonstrated clinical competence and leadership experience in an acute-care hospital setting.
